According to the Vedic calendar, the Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month will start on October 20 at 06:46 am and will end on November 21 at 04:16 am. The date is calculated from sunrise. Hence, Vakratunda Sankashti Chaturthi will be celebrated on October 20. The moonrise on Vakratunda Sankashti Chaturthi will be at 07:54 pm in the evening.

Puja Vidhi

On the Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, wake up in Brahma Bela and start the day by meditating on Lord Ganesha. Now clean the house. After retiring from daily chores, take a bath with water containing Gangajal. Now take a vow to fast by sipping water and wear yellow clothes. After this, offer water to Sun God. Now do Panchopchar and worship Lord Ganesha with rituals. At this time, offer yellow flowers, fruits, modaks, Malpuas and Durva to Lord Ganesha. Recite Ganesh Chalisa and Ganesh Stotra and chant mantras during worship. Finally, perform Aarti. At this time, pray to Lord Ganesha for happiness, prosperity and increase in income. Keep fast throughout the day and eat fruits after performing Aarti in the evening. Break the fast by doing Puja the next day.
