
UP News: The hard work and visionary thinking of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has brought UP to the leading position in the whole country in digital transactions and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). While there were 122.84 crore digital transactions in the state in 2017-18, this figure reached 1,024.41 crore by December 2024-25. Taking such a big leap in such a short time shows the strength of UP. Today UP is number one in digital transactions and the special thing is that most of the transactions are happening through UPI.
The Yogi government has made the dream of bringing the digital revolution to every household a reality. Along with making digital banking easier, high-speed internet facility has been provided to villages. Awareness campaigns have been launched to explain its benefits to people.
There are 20,416 bank branches, 4,00,932 Bank Mitras and BC Sakhis, 18,747 ATMs and 4,40,095 banking centers working in the state. These facilities are helping people from cities to remote villages. Steps like Bank Mitras and BC Sakhis have also provided employment to women and made banking easier in rural areas.
CM Yogi Adityanath 's special emphasis on DBT , which gave 1 lakh 11 thousand 637 crore rupees, is another big success of UP. Through this, the money of government schemes is reaching the accounts of beneficiaries directly, without any middleman. 207 schemes of 11 departments are running through this system, which includes 113 central and 95 state government schemes.
In 2024-25, Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand 637 crore has been given to more than 9 crore 8 lakh beneficiaries. This amount has reached the poor, farmers, women and the needy, which has improved their lives.
