Prayagraj News: The Allahabad High Court has made a harsh comment on the absence of teachers in UP's primary schools. The High Court has said that due to the absence of teachers from schools, the root of primary education is being weakened and this affects the future of children. According to the court, strict legal action should be taken against such teachers. In one such case, the High Court has ordered the departmental officer to investigate and take appropriate action.

The High Court has made this remark while rejecting the petition of Bulandshahr's assistant teacher Poonam Rani. The case was heard in a single bench of Justice Ajay Bhanot. Poonam Rani had challenged her transfer in the Allahabad High Court. However, the petition was filed almost three years after the transfer. Along with this, no satisfactory explanation was given for filing the petition late.

No right to get posted at the place of choice- The High
Court has said in its decision that an employee has no right to get posted at the place of his choice. Transfer is a part of service and the court has the right to intervene only in a limited area in special circumstances. Petitioner Poonam Rani was appointed as an assistant teacher in the Upper Primary School of Anheda area of Bulandshahr district. After this, she was affiliated to Upper Primary School Semali. Poonam Rani had challenged this transfer in the Allahabad High Court.

The High Court, while giving its verdict in this case, has said that transfer is a part of service. No employee has the right to remain at a particular place indefinitely. The court has said that there has been no malice or violation of any statutory provision in Poonam Rani's case. Apart from this, complaints are also being received that due to the transfer, Poonam Rani is not doing her work honestly and responsibly. She is leaving school before time. The teacher not being in school on time and not teaching responsibly has a bad effect on the future of the children. This weakens the roots of primary education. Strict action should be taken in such cases.
