Invitation was not sent to Muslim MPs
In fact, American Muslim lawmakers and community leaders were not invited to the Iftar party, instead foreign ambassadors of Muslim countries were invited to attend the Iftar dinner. Let us tell you that there is a two-decade-old tradition of organizing Iftar party in the White House.

Muslim leaders protest outside the White House
Many Muslim civil rights groups protested against this issue outside the White House. Muslim leaders protested against Trump's Iftar party under the name Not Trump's Iftar. A protester said that this is a kind of hypocrisy of Donald Trump. On one hand he bans the entry of Muslims in the country and on the other hand he organizes Iftar parties.
