Hardoi. A case that shames humanity has come to light in Hardoi, UP. If a deceased person was found to have jewellery in the postmortem house, it was removed and replaced with a fake one. The grieving relatives did not even pay attention, but after the death of a woman constable's sister, this dirty game going on in the postmortem house came to light.
An investigation was conducted on the complaint of the woman constable and when the outsourcing fourth class employee was caught, he revealed the whole secret along with the photos and videos of the fake jewellery kept inside. He told that not only fourth class employees but other workers were also involved in this game and the share was distributed according to the quantity of jewellery. However, doctors were not involved in this.
The postmortem of the female soldier's sister was done
On June 17, female constable Nikki posted in the police line had complained to the CMO that her elder sister had died under suspicious circumstances on April 9. During the postmortem, the earring and nose pin had disappeared from the sister's body. The CMO had constituted a committee and got the investigation done. The committee held ward boy Rupesh Patel and fourth class employee Wahid posted through an outsourcing company guilty and wrote to the company removing both of them, but when the ward boy got caught, he revealed the sensational secret.
Ward boy made a video of jewelry and made it viral
He made a video of artificial jewellery kept inside the modern post-mortem house located in the CMO office premises and made it viral on social media, saying that if any jewellery is found with a deceased, it is stolen. Although, the jewellery of most of the bodies is removed by their family members themselves, but in case of death due to accidents etc., rings or chains are found with the deceased and earrings, stones, anklets etc. are found in women. These are removed and fake jewellery is worn in its place and the real jewellery is distributed.
Ward boys used to take small jewellery and post-mortem workers used to take big jewellery
According to the ward boy, the game of distribution was done honestly. Wahid used to take off the jewellery and he used to get the smaller jewellery. While the bigger jewellery like chain, ring, earrings, jhaale etc. were taken by the postmortem staff. The ward boy says that if the CCTV footage is examined, the truth will come out. On the whole issue, CMO Dr. Rohtash Kumar said that action has been taken against the staff found guilty in this case. Now a detailed investigation will be conducted and action will be taken against whoever is found guilty. If needed, CCTV cameras will also be checked.
