Meerut. Political activities have intensified regarding by-elections on ten assembly seats that have fallen vacant in the state after the Lok Sabha elections. Azad Samaj Party president Chandrashekhar, who won the Nagina reserved seat by creating a big upset, has increased the challenge for political parties by announcing to contest by-elections on all the seats in the state.
On the other hand, BSP has also started preparations for the elections on all the seats. BSP President Chandrashekhar has appointed in-charges for election preparations at Mirapur in Muzaffarnagar, Khair in Aligarh, Manjhwa in Bhadohi, Kundarki in Moradabad and Ghaziabad Sadar.
The names of the candidates will be decided soon
Apart from these seats, the party will also hold meetings in Katehari in Ambedkar Nagar, Milkipur in Ayodhya, Sisamau in Kanpur and Karhal in Mainpuri to decide the names of the candidates.
Former Chief Minister Mayawati made Akash her successor
Analysts say that Chandrashekhar is emerging as a new option in the Dalit politics of the state, that is why former Chief Minister Mayawati has increased the electoral edge by again making her nephew Akash Anand the national coordinator of BSP.
