According to the film's co-producer Aashirvad Cinemas, 96,140 tickets of L2 Empuraan were sold every hour. The makers say that its advance booking has not started in many big markets outside Kerala yet, but once it opens, this figure can cross 1 lakh.

L2 Empuraan is also doing well in foreign countries in terms of advance booking. According to a report in The Indian Express, the film has earned 12 crores, which is a big record for any Malayalam film so far. Mohanlal's film is expected to be successful in collecting between 40 to 50 crores worldwide on the very first day.
