Meanwhile, a most awaited Malayalam film is seen giving competition to the film in terms of advance booking. 

Amidst the craze of Sikandar, Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran's film 'L2 Empuraan' has come into the limelight. Let us tell you that it will be released on 27th March, i.e. three days before Salman Khan's movie. This film has registered record-breaking sale of tickets in advance booking.

How many tickets were sold for Mohanlal's film?

According to the report of Sakcinl, 54869 tickets of the film have been sold all over India on the first day. This figure may increase in the coming days. Looking at the pace of its collection, it is being estimated that it can become the highest grossing Malayalam film till date. 

Let us tell you that the advance booking of this most awaited Malayalam film has started in Kerala on Friday. According to the film's co-producer Aashirvad Cinemas, 96,140 tickets of L2 Empuraan were sold every hour. The makers say that its advance booking has not started in many big markets outside Kerala yet, but once it opens, this figure can cross 1 lakh.

The film earned a lot of money in foreign countries as well

L2 Empuraan is also doing well in foreign countries in terms of advance booking. According to a report in The Indian Express, the film has earned 12 crores, which is a big record for any Malayalam film so far. Mohanlal's film is expected to be successful in collecting between 40 to 50 crores worldwide on the very first day.
