Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation has started work for the second corridor. After getting 40 thousand hectares of land for the second corridor, preparations are underway to make the design. After the depot is ready, both the depots will be connected to each other. UP Metro will operate 29 trains of both the corridors from a single depot. Officials from the Agra Metro Rail Project say that it will be easy to operate the metro from a single depot and the completion of the project will also be very fast.

Construction of depot will ease metro operation.
Two metro corridors will be built in Agra city, each of which will have one depot. Metro train will run for 29.4 km in Agra city. The first corridor has 13 stations from Taj Mahal East Gate to Sikandra, while the second corridor will have 14 stations from Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar. The first corridor of the metro rail is built on PAC ground, 40 thousand hectares have been acquired near it for the second corridor, after the construction of the new depot, both will be connected which will ease metro operation.+
