The trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar was released today. As soon as the trailer was released, the cine lovers were blown away. Its star cast was seen getting emotional. Fardeen Khan and Manisha Koirala expressed their feelings at the trailer launch event. The actors told how this moment was emotional for them. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time. 

Manisha waited 28 years

Manisha Koirala has played the character of Mallika Jaan in Hiramandi. During the trailer launch event, she said how desperate she was to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He has waited for this moment for 28 years, which is now over. Manisha had worked with Bhansali in the film Khamoshi in 1996. Manisha opened up about working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again in Heeramandi.

Manisha said- I have waited for Sanjay's call for 28 years and it is a matter of great happiness for me. It is an honor to work with such a genius. We have created this (Hiramandi) with a lot of hard work, love, and affection. I hope you all like it. We have seen this for the first time.

Fardeen Khan became emotional 

Fardeen Khan is making a comeback in the industry after 14 years with Hiramandi. The actor has gone through many ups and downs personally and professionally during this period. He looked quite emotional about his comeback. Fardeen has played the character of Wali Mohammed in the series. 

The actor said- It has been a very long gap for me, it has been almost 14 years. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with this amazing star cast and a platform like Netflix and of course Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself. For me, this is something I have never done. I felt this was the perfect character for me to come back on screen at the age I am. 

Fardeen further said that Sanjayji's characters are very difficult and full of seriousness. It is not easy to understand them. Working with him is no less than a challenge. But when you see it all together later, it all makes sense. With this Fardeen said – I am getting emotional now.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar will premiere on streaming platform Netflix on May 1. This series also stars Fardeen Khan, and Manisha Koirala along with Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Adhyayan Suman.
