More than 30 students were injured in a bee attack in a government high school in Derabish block of the district. This incident happened during the annual function of the school. According to the information received, bees had made a hive about two feet long on a big tree near the school premises. During the function, perhaps someone disturbed this hive, due to which the bees got angry and started attacking the students and teachers. The injured were immediately taken to Derabish Community Health Center, where everyone was given first aid. Due to this incident, the school administration had to cancel the annual function. 

Children were treated in hospital

For the time being, the administration has also planned to remove the hive from the school premises for safety reasons. After the incident, a student studying in the school said, "The school's annual sports were going on. We were sitting and suddenly the bees started biting us. There were about 40 children present there. After being bitten by the bees, we ran to our respective homes. After giving us first aid at home, our family members brought us to the hospital.

There was a beehive on the tree

The assistant teacher of the school said, "Annual sports were going on in our school. There was a beehive on a tree near the school. While we were having lunch, the bees suddenly started attacking everyone. About 25 to 30 children were stung by the bees. After the accident, we brought the children to the hospital. We did not know that there was a beehive on the tree and who knows when a swarm of bees will attack whom?" For now, the school management has assured to take appropriate steps to avoid such incidents in future.
