New Delhi. There will be no trading in the stock market today ( Share Market Holiday ). Actually, the stock market is closed on the occasion of Muharram (Muharram 2024). There will be no trading in the equity derivatives segment and SLB segment today. Apart from this, there will be no trading in the capital market and futures and options segment.
How was the market yesterday
On 16 July 2024 (Tuesday), there was a tremendous rise in the stock market. Around 12 noon, Sensex and Nifty touched a new all-time high. There was a continuous rise in the stock market in July.On Tuesday, the Sensex closed at 80,716.55 points with a gain of 51.69 points. The Nifty also rose 26.30 points to reach 24,613.00 points. The rupee closed 3 paise higher against the dollar. The rupee had reached its all-time low on Monday.Quarterly results released by companies and continued investment by foreign investors ahead of the upcoming budget have helped the market to gain momentum.

- There will be a holiday in the stock market on 2 October 2024 on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.
- The stock market is going to remain closed on 1 November 2024 on the occasion of Diwali.
- There will be a holiday in the stock market on 15 November 2024 on the occasion of Gurunanak Jayanti.
- There is a holiday in the stock market on the occasion of Christmas on 25 December 2024.
