On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, wake up early in the morning and after taking a bath, meditate on Lord Ganesha and take a vow to fast. After this, offer flowers, fruits, roli, akshat as well as 21 durva to Ganpati ji. Offer laddu, modak and tilkut to Ganesh ji as bhog. Finally, do the aarti of Ganesh ji while reciting the fast story of Sankashti Chaturthi. After seeing the moon in the evening, offer arghya to the moon and end your fast.
