The SCO comprises India, China, Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Earlier, India's Foreign Ministry said the country would be represented by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.

Officials say a meeting between Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is likely to take place during the summit.
