News Topical, Digital Desk : There has been an encounter between criminals and police in Chhapra of Saran district of Bihar. It is being told that in this encounter, notorious criminal Munna Mian, who has a bounty of 50 thousand, has been shot. Another notorious criminal Ranjit Singh has also been shot. Both are badly injured. Senior SP Dr. Kumar Ashish informed that Saran Police has taken joint action with STF.
This incident of encounter in Chhapra happened late night on Thursday (7 August). The criminals first fired several rounds at the police, after which the police retaliated, in which two criminals Munna Mian and Ranjit Singh were shot. Due to which they have been badly injured.
What did Saran SSP say about the encounter?
SSP Dr. Kumar Ashish said, "The police had received information that two notorious criminals were hiding. After getting this information, action was started by STF and local police station. As soon as the police arrived, the notorious criminals started firing continuously, after which Saran Police retaliated and fired at the criminals, in which the criminals were badly injured."

After the incident, the police admitted the criminals to a local hospital, from where both were referred to Patna. The condition of the injured criminals is said to be fine. Treatment is ongoing.

According to the information, Munna Mian and Ranjit Singh have been involved in several serious criminal cases including robbery, murder, extortion. Several cases are registered against them. Police have recovered weapons and several objectionable items from the encounter site.
