The sourness in the relations between the two countries did not go down well with India's very close friend Israel and it advised India and the US to resolve the tariff dispute through talks. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even said that he would give some advice to PM Modi to deal with Donald Trump.
'Modi and Trump both are my friends'
Speaking to the media, Netanyahu said, 'Both PM Modi and Trump are very good friends of mine. I will give some advice to PM Modi to deal with Donald Trump, but in private.' Netanyahu said that the relations between India and America are very strong and the tariff dispute can be resolved through talks.
He said, 'The foundation of the relationship between the two countries is very strong. It will be in the interest of both India and America that they reach a consensus and resolve the tariff dispute. Both the countries are our friends.' Let us tell you that Donald Trump is angry about India buying oil from Russia and he has announced to impose a total tariff of 50 percent on India.
On the other hand, India has called Trump's decision irrational and citing its energy needs, it has said that India will not compromise on protecting the interests of its people. PM Modi said that if I have to pay the price for this, then I am ready. Netanyahu also expressed his desire to visit India.
