New Delhi. Afghanistan all-rounder and T20I captain Rashid Khan has achieved the feat of taking 600 wickets in T20 cricket. The Afghan spinner, popularly known as Rashid 'Kamal' Khan, became the second bowler to achieve this feat. Playing for Trent Rockets, Rashid achieved this feat by bowling out Paul Walter of Manchester Originals in The Hundred Men's Competition 2024.

Before Rashid Khan, this record was touched by West Indies' Dwayne Bravo. Dwayne Bravo has 630 wickets in 578 T20 matches. Rashid Khan has touched the figure of 600 wickets in the 441st T20 match. There are only two other bowlers who have taken 500 or more wickets in T20 cricket, including Sunil Narine (557) and Imran Tahir (502). Rashid became the youngest and fastest bowler to achieve this feat.

Rashid Khan made his debut in T20 cricket in 2015. So far, he has taken 600 wickets in 441 T20 matches. During this, his average has been 18.25. This average is the best for any player who has taken 400 or more wickets in fast cricket. Rashid Khan's economy rate has been 6.47. Rashid Khan is considered one of the most dangerous spinners in the world.

Can do wonders of taking 1000 wickets

Rashid Khan has no equal in both franchise and international cricket. At a young age, Rashid Khan can become the greatest player of all time in this format. He can certainly touch the 1,000 wicket mark in T20 cricket. Rashid has taken 149 wickets in 121 matches in the IPL at an average of 21.82. Before joining Gujarat Titans, Rashid was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (2017-2021).
