Russia has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the victory over Germany on May 9. This information was given by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko. He said that Russia hopes that Prime Minister Modi will take part in this year's Victory Day parade.

"An invitation has been sent to Prime Minister Modi and work is being done on the visit. The visit should take place this year," Rudenko said on Tuesday, according to Russian news agency TASS. Russia has invited the leaders of several friendly countries to this year's Victory Day parade.
