• The US funds about a quarter of the institute's budget. Andrew Pollard, head of the Oxford Vaccine Group, said that in the face of the Trump administration's sweeping aid cuts, the institutes are reluctant to speak out because they could be targeted.

Asked to stop broadcaster's funds
