UP Lok Sabha Election 2024: Dimple Yadav, wife of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, will file a nomination for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday. Dimple Yadav will file a nomination at the District Election Office at 11 am. During this time, while on the one hand, Akhilesh Yadav will be with Dimple Yadav, on the other hand, other members of the Yadav family are also expected to participate in this program. Presently Dimple Yadav is MP from Mainpuri. Dimple is contesting against Thakur Jaiveer Singh of the BJP. Every effort is being made to make Dimple's nomination program grand.

National General Secretary Professor Ram Gopal Yadav will also be present. Former MP Tej Pratap Yadav will also be present. Apart from this, many SP MLAs and former ministers will also be seen in the program.

Dimple had won the by-election in 2022.
Dimple Yadav had won the Lok Sabha by-election held in Mainpuri in 2022. He defeated BJP candidate Raghuraj Singh Shakya. Mainpuri seat was held by party founder and Dimple Yadav's father-in-law Mulayam Singh Yadav. After his death, Dimple got huge support from the public in the by-election held here.

Mainpuri has been the stronghold of SP.
 The Mainpuri seat has been held by the Samajwadi Party for a long time. This is the reason why the party does not want to leave any stone unturned to win the elections on this seat. BJP has also put in all its strength to win this seat. The responsibility for this has been given to Thakur Jaiveer Singh, MLA from Mainpuri and minister in the Yogi government. He is the current MLA from Mainpuri Sadar. Jaiveer Singh is the Tourism Minister in the Yogi government. He filed his nomination on Monday. Gulshan Dev Shakya is in the fray from BSP. According to the news quoting sources, his ticket may be cut. He has been called to Lucknow today.

Voting is to be held on 10 Lok Sabha seats in the third phase.
According to information received from sources, one of the 10 Lok Sabha seats where voting is to be held in the third phase is Mainpuri, which includes Sambhal, Agra, Hathras, Fatehpur Sikri, Etah, Firozabad, Badaun, Amla and Bareilly are included. Nomination filing for the third phase started on Friday and voting is on May 7.
