Truck Loaded With Liquor Seized: In Bihar's Nalanda on Wednesday, in broad daylight, the police foiled the plans of the liquor mafia. Here, on the basis of secret information, the Chero OP police station seized foreign liquor worth more than Rs 50 lakh from inside the paddy straw loaded on a mini truck. The biggest thing is that the liquor mafia used to track this mini truck with GPS. The police have also seized that GPS.
Liquor was going from Hazaribagh to Vaishali
A huge amount of foreign liquor was to be transported from Jharkhand to Nalanda, Patna and then the police caught them midway. When the police arrested the truck driver Sitaram Paswan and questioned him, he told that the liquor was to be taken from Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) to Mahua Vaishali by hiding it in paddy husk. This liquor is monitored using GPS from Jharkhand to Vaishali. Sitaram Paswan is also a resident of Vaishali. This liquor was being brought to celebrate the New Year.
As soon as the station in-charge seized a large quantity of foreign liquor, DSP 2 reached Chero police station for investigation after getting this information. The arrested driver is being questioned and they are trying to gather information about who had ordered this liquor. Let us tell you that negligence is being shown in checking police vehicles at the entry points of the state and district, which the liquor mafia is taking advantage of. The surprising thing is that the truck reached Chero after passing through seven police station areas in the district, where it was caught.
The driver was chased and caught
The police of Giriak, Pawapuri, Deepnagar, Sohsarai, Bhagan Bigha, Vena and Harnaut police stations of the district were unaware of the liquor consignment. Sadar DSP-2 Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal said that the police received secret information that a large consignment of liquor was being taken to Vaishali on a truck, after which the vehicle checking campaign was intensified through Chero police on the orders of the senior officer. The police saw the truck coming from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand. On seeing the police checking, the driver parked the vehicle on the roadside and jumped out and started running, but he was chased and caught. After that, liquor was recovered after checking the truck.
