JSW Energy informed after market close on Monday that the company has received a letter of intent for the 3.6 GW KSK Mahanadi Thermal Power Plant. The company said in an exchange filing, "The resolution plan submitted by the company for KSK Mahanadi Power Company Limited under the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016 has been approved by the Committee of Creditors and the company has received a letter of intent from the resolution professionals on January 13, 2025."
KPMCL has 1,800 MW operational and 1,800 MW under construction thermal power plants in the state of Chhattisgarh. Closure of this transaction will be subject to receipt of necessary regulatory approvals including from the National Company Law Tribunal and the Competition Commission of India (CCI). Stock Performance On Monday, the company's stock closed down 3.94 per cent at Rs 518.05. In the last one year, the company's stock has seen a rise of 9.49 per cent.
