Beirut: Israel has intensified its air strikes on Lebanon to eliminate the Iran-backed terrorist organization Hezbollah. After killing Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in a missile attack, the Israeli army has now started extensive ground military action.
The IDF began this ground operation early in the morning and targeted Hezbollah positions.
Now the military action on the ground has started
The Israeli army said in a statement that it had launched a limited and targeted ground operation against Hezbollah in villages in southern Lebanon close to the border, which was threatening Israeli communities in northern Israel. The military action is now taking place on the ground after air and artillery attacks.
Locals in the Lebanese border town of Aita al-Shaab reported hearing heavy shelling and the sound of helicopters and drones over the past day. The Israeli army has now stopped its war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip and has focused on Hezbollah.
