Breaking the weakness of two consecutive weeks, the Indian market closed in the green last week. After the recovery on Friday, the Indian market closed in the green on a weekly basis. During this period, the market capitalization of 8 of the top 10 companies of the country has increased by ₹ 1,55,603.45 crores. During this period, the market of HDFC Bank and TCS has seen the highest increase. Last week, the Sensex has seen a rise of 1,536.8 points i.e. 1.98% and the Nifty has seen a rise of 374.55 points i.e. 1.59%.

Out of these top-10 companies, only two i.e. Reliance Industries and LIC have seen a decline in market capitalization. Last week, HDFC Bank's market capitalization has increased by ₹40,393.91 crores to reach ₹13,34 lakh crores. Whereas, TCS's market capitalization has increased by ₹36,036.15 crores to reach ₹15.36 lakh crores.

ICICI Bank's valuation has increased by ₹16,266.54 crores to ₹9.01 lakh crores and Infosys' valuation has increased by ₹16,189.33 crores to ₹7.90 lakh crores. HUL's market capitalisation has increased by ₹13,239.95 crores to ₹5.74 lakh crores and ITC's market capitalisation has increased by ₹11,508.91 crores to ₹5.94 lakh crores.

 

Last week, the market capitalization of Bharti Airtel increased by ₹ 11,260.11 crore to ₹ 8.94 lakh crore and the market capitalization of SBI increased by ₹ 10,709.55 crore to ₹ 7.28 lakh crore.

 

However, during this period, the market capitalization of LIC fell by ₹ 11,954.23 crores to ₹ 5.62 lakh crores and the market capitalization of Reliance Industries fell by ₹ 2,368.1 crores to ₹ 17.13 lakh crores. Along with this, the top-10 companies of the country are RIL, TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, SBI, ITC, HUL and LIC.
