New Delhi:  The series of bomb threats in planes is not stopping. Due to the bomb threat, there was chaos at the airport today and the passengers also had to face trouble. On Saturday, bomb threats were received in 10 different flights. Out of these, five flights are of Indigo and five flights are of Akasa Airlines.

According to the information, bomb threats were received on flights 6E108 Hyderabad-Chandigarh, 6E58 Jeddah-Mumbai, 6E17 Mumbai Istanbul, 6E184 Jodhpur-Delhi, 6E11 Delhi-Istanbul. Till the latest information, an emergency landing was made on an Indigo flight going from Darbhanga to Mumbai after receiving a bomb threat. Since the flight was coming from Darbhanga to Mumbai, no changes were made to it... The flight has reached its destination safely and Mumbai Police and Airport Security Department are doing their work under all the necessary protocols.

So far, Mumbai Police has registered a total of 7 FIRs in different cases of bomb threats. Seeing the continuous increase in such cases, the police said that their number may increase further. At present, the police is investigating where these threatening calls came from in the plane. The case will be registered on the basis of the investigation. Immediately after the landing of the flight, necessary steps will be taken following all the protocols and keeping in mind the safety of the passengers.

Earlier, three international flights of airline company Vistara had received bomb threats, which later turned out to be false. As a precaution, the route of one plane was diverted to Frankfurt. On the other hand, Air India Express flight coming from Dubai to Jaipur was made to land in an emergency situation at Jaipur airport late on Friday night after receiving a bomb threat. However, after investigation, this threat turned out to be a "rumour". 

 The Civil Aviation Ministry is planning to impose stringent rules to prevent incidents of bomb threats on flights and put the culprits on a 'no-fly' list. The DGCA is considering amending rules to ensure strict action against incidents of bomb threats by airlines. Most of the threats have turned out to be false. In this regard, the ministry is considering amending existing rules, including those related to the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), to ensure stringent punishment for the culprits. The official said a proposal to put persons making false bomb threats on airlines' 'no-fly' list is under consideration. He also said legal opinion is being collected regarding making changes in the rules. The ministry is also examining the provisions being adopted in foreign countries to deal with fake bomb threats.
