India will soon be able to shoot down enemy moving warships or aircraft carriers from a distance of 1,000 km. All preparations are in place for testing a new long-range anti-ship ballistic missile.
The test of this missile is going to take place at a time when India is considering creating a very powerful rocket force for its armies. The rocket force will include subsonic cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
Being developed for the Indian Navy
Defence sources said that the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) can test this ballistic missile in the next few days. This missile can be launched from both warships and coastal locations. Sources said that this missile system is being developed for the Indian Navy.
The Indian Army is increasing the number of ballistic missiles. The Army and the Air Force have ordered Pralay ballistic missiles. The range of Pralay is 150-500 kilometers. The speed of Pralay is 1200 km per hour, which can be increased to 2000 km per hour. It has been developed by DRDO.
It will be helpful in competing with China
Amid the increasing challenges on the border, the rocket force will be helpful in countering China. China has a strong rocket force. It also has a huge stockpile of conventional long-range weapons. The Indian forces have brainstormed on forming a strong rocket force to face all security challenges.
