'Bail granted to woman accused of murder', Rajasthan High Court said- woman has responsibility of her five year old child:

News Topical, Digital Desk : In a murder case, the Rajasthan High Court gave an important order and granted bail to the accused woman. The woman is accused of killing two elderly sisters. The court said that the woman is a young mother who has the responsibility of taking care of her 5-year-old child.

It is unfair to keep a woman in jail- Court

Keeping the woman in jail is inappropriate considering the seriousness of the accused. The case is from Ambamata police station area of Udaipur. Justice Farzand Ali of Rajasthan High Court gave this order on August 4 in his judgment on this petition filed under section 439 of CrPC.

The woman, Maria, was in jail for the past two years

Actually, the accused woman Maria was in jail for the last two years. Her bail application was earlier rejected by the court.

This time, while hearing the bail application presented in the court, the court said that the woman is responsible for taking care of the child. The court said- The woman is a young mother, who has the responsibility of taking care of her 5-year-old child. Her in-laws (mother-in-law and father-in-law) have passed away, due to which there is no family support to take care of the child.

At present the child is with his maternal grandmother

At present, the child is living with his maternal grandmother, who herself is taking care of her husband who is suffering from cancer. Due to this, she is also unable to take proper care of the child. The court said - there is a lack of eyewitnesses in this case.

The prosecution's case is based primarily on circumstantial evidence. The evidence presented by the prosecution is incomplete and disjointed, leaving open possible hypotheses other than the guilt of the accused.

Maria was arrested in November 2023

Actually, Maria is accused of murdering Husena Bai and her sister Sarabhai of Udaipur. Maria is the daughter-in-law of Zubeda, the third and youngest sister of both the dead women. The murder is said to have been committed over property and jewellery in the house, under which Maria was arrested in November 2023.
