New Delhi: A total of 217 employees of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been promoted for the first time. These employees are working as sweepers and peons in the lowest category in the force. They have been given new ranks. A ceremony was organized on Monday in various offices of the force including the headquarters in Delhi to give ranks to the employees.
CRPF Director General AD Singh along with senior officers pinned ranks on the uniforms of the personnel and congratulated them. The Director General said, "Each member of the CRPF, irrespective of his rank, plays a vital role in our mission to ensure the security of our country."
217 employees were promoted from constable to head constable
He said that 217 employees have been promoted from constable to head constable. Let us tell you that earlier this year, for the first time in the 85-year history of the country's largest paramilitary force CRPF, the Central Government had approved the promotion of 2600 employees working as sweepers, cooks and water supply staff.
