Searched on the charge of 'smuggling'

According to reports, two employees of businessman Mandeep, a resident of Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, were traveling to Delhi with cash on the Sampark Kranti Express train. Just before Bilaspur railway station, three unidentified criminals disguised as policemen entered their coach. They threatened the two employees and accused them of smuggling.

The two employees were terrified by the police uniform and their imposing appearance. The criminals then took them to the coach gate under the pretense of searching them and took away all the cash they had.

Contradictions over the amount, robbers fired in the air and fled

There's currently some controversy regarding the amount of the robbery. The victim employees claim the robbers stole around 2.5 lakh rupees. Meanwhile, their employer, Mandeep, claims the employees had a total of 7 lakh rupees in cash, a significant amount of which was stolen by the robbers.

After the robbery, as soon as the train slowed down near Bilaspur station, the three miscreants opened fire in the air to spread terror and jumped from the moving train and escaped.
