News Topical, Digital Desk : A 42-year-old man allegedly pushed his elderly mother to death from the fourth floor of their home in RR Nagar, Bengaluru. The victim, identified as 72-year-old Savitramma, had been bedridden for the past four to five years due to paralysis.
The accused has been identified as Venkatesh. It is reported that he acted out of frustration over his mother's long-standing illness. Police have registered a case and begun investigating the incident.
Police conducted medical examination of the accused
Officials said the accused is being questioned to determine the sequence of events. They are also investigating financial matters and will undergo a medical examination to determine his mental state.
This is how the incident was carried out
The family lived on the second floor of a four-story building in BEML Layout. According to police, Venkatesh is married and lives with his wife and mother. He took Savithramma to the roof and then threw her down. She fell to the ground and died on the spot. Passersby witnessed the incident and informed the police.
