News Topical, Digital Desk : Eight people have been killed in a collision between a Bolero and a lorry in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred near Chilakaladona in the Mantralayam division of the district. Ten to twelve people were reportedly injured in the incident.

Pilgrims from Karnataka are among the dead

According to Kurnool police officials, all the injured have been admitted to Emmiganur Hospital for treatment. The deceased are being identified.

However, currently, people say that the deceased have been identified as pilgrims from Karnataka (Chikkamagaluru region). Following the incident, the central government has announced a compensation of ₹2 lakh to the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 to the injured.
