Fire breaks out in Rajkot's gaming zone

Many innocent people lost their lives due to a fire in a gaming zone in Rajkot, Gujarat. On May 26, children were playing in the TRP gaming zone when suddenly a fire broke out there. The fire intensified so quickly that people did not even get a chance to get out of there. Summer vacations were going on at that time, so the number of children in the gaming zone was also high.

 

In this horrific incident, 35 people died in the fire, including many children. A special bench of the Gujarat High Court took cognizance of the matter and called it a man-made disaster. It also ordered strict action against those responsible.

 

Stampede in satsang

In a tragic incident in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, a stampede broke out during a satsang, in which 121 people lost their lives. On July 2, Narayan Sakar Hari i.e. Suraj Pal Jatav's satsang was going on in Hathras. Then there was a competition among the people to take the dust from the feet of Narayan Sakar Hari, after which there was chaos.

 

The administration had blamed the organizers for this incident and said that the correct information about the number of people attending the event was not given. According to the complaint lodged with the police, the administration was told that 80 thousand people would attend the event, whereas more than 2.5 lakh people attended it.

 

Natural disaster wreaked havoc in Wayanad

On the night of 29 July, when people were relaxing in their homes in Wayanad, Kerala, a terrible disaster suddenly struck, which took months for the people there to recover from. After heavy rains, landslides occurred at many places in Wayanad on 29 July. More than 400 people died in this disaster.

 

The government and security forces had to carry out rescue operations for several weeks. Hundreds of houses were destroyed in the disaster and the search for bodies continued for several days. This was the worst natural disaster in Kerala after the 2018 floods.

 

Many children were burnt alive in the medical college

In a heart wrenching incident in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, a huge fire broke out in the pediatric ward of the medical college on November 15. The sudden fire caused chaos in the ward. 10 newborn babies died in the tragic accident. More than 16 people were injured.

 

The horror of the incident can be gauged from the fact that many babies were not even seen by their mothers after giving birth. 39 children were rescued from the ward, who were shifted to another ward. Later investigation revealed that the fire broke out due to a spark in the oxygen concentrator due to a short circuit.

 

LPG tanker exploded in Jaipur, everything turned to ashes in the flames of devastation

At the end of the year, the country witnessed a horrific road accident in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, where a tanker full of LPG caught fire after an accident. The fire was so fierce that it engulfed more than 35 nearby vehicles. The accident happened when a truck hit an LPG tanker on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway on the morning of 20 December.

 

Due to the accident, gas started leaking from the nozzle of the tanker, which caused a fire. Soon the nearby vehicles also caught fire. In the accident, a bus running behind the tanker and a pipe factory located on the highway also burned. 19 people died in the accident. Many people were injured.
