UP News: Former IAS and then Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority Mohinder Singh, who is under investigation in the Hacienda Project land scam in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, did not appear before the Enforcement Directorate in Lucknow on Wednesday. Recently, during the raids on the premises of the operators of Hacienda, the ED also searched his Chandigarh residence. Where the ED found diamonds and jewels worth crores of rupees and documents of named and benami properties. Since then, the ED wants to question him, for which the ED had called him for questioning at the zonal office in Lucknow, the capital of UP, but Mohinder did not turn up. 

If sources are to be believed, Mohinder has not sent any reply to ED officials for his absence and neither has he given any reason for not being able to come. If ED sources are to be believed, now ED is preparing to send him a summons once again and if even after this he does not appear, then legal action can also be taken against him. 

Important documents found during the raid
Let us tell you that even 2 years ago, a notice was sent by the Vigilance to his Chandigarh residence for questioning in the memorial scam, but he was in Australia at that time, due to which he did not appear, but when a raid was conducted at his residence recently, he was found present at home. During the raid recently, ED has found documents of many properties from his residence and bank locker. 


 

ED wants to question Mohinder Singh about the amount invested in these properties and the source of his income. ED has also got information about some of his benami properties, while ED also wants to question him on the points of benefiting HPPL operators. Along with this, he is also likely to be questioned in the memorial scam.

Diamond worth Rs 5 crore found from the house
In fact, the investigation has started on the order of the High Court in the case of cheating of flat buyers of Lotus 300 project of Hacienda Project Private Limited Company. In this case, on 17 and 18 September, ED raided the premises of Sarpreet Singh Suri, Nirmal Singh, Vidur Bhardwaj, Aditya Gupta, Ashish Gupta, former Director of HPPL and Cloud Nine Project Private Limited, and Mohinder Singh, former Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority, along with 12 others. During this, diamond worth Rs 5.25 crore and documents of many other properties were found from Mohinder's house. In this entire raid, ED has found diamonds, jewellery and other items worth Rs 42.56 crore, which includes Rs 85 lakh in cash.
