Firozabad. A rape victim from Auraiya consumed some poisonous substance in police custody while returning to Makhanpur police station. On July 4, she had lodged an FIR against a constable posted in the police lines on the charges of raping her on the pretext of marriage, making objectionable videos and threatening her. The constable was suspended the same day. The victim has accused the constable of giving her a packet of poison and pressuring her to settle the case by taking Rs 10 lakh from CO Line. The accused constable was arrested near Biltigarh.
According to the 24-year-old victim, she met constable Pushpendra Kumar, a resident of Rajnagar, Hasanpur Saadabad Hathras, in March 2021 at Rambagh in Agra. After this, a love affair developed between the two. Her family had agreed to get married in the year 2022. Her relatives had given 51 thousand rupees to the constable's family as shogun. It was decided to get married in 2023.
Relations were made on the pretext of marriage
By giving false promises of marriage, the accused made physical relations with her in hotels of Auraiya, Agra, Mathura and Noida. He also made objectionable videos in the hotel of Auraiya. Later he refused to marry her. He said that if she gets 25 lakh rupees in dowry, he can marry her. On 30th May, he flatly refused to marry her.
After the case was registered, he was called for medical examination
After the complaint in SSP office, CO Line Praveen Kumar Tiwari registered a case in Makhanpur. Police had called her on Tuesday for medical examination and to give statement in the court. She reached the police station at 11.30 am. After this, she was sent to Medical College Hospital, but she refused to undergo medical examination. After this, she was brought back to the police station.According to Inspector Shiv Singh Chauhan, she ate something poisonous on the way. When her condition worsened, she was sent to the trauma center. The girl alleges that the accused constable had given her the poisonous substance on the way.SSP Saurabh Dixit said that the accused constable has been arrested. He will be sent to jail. The allegations against CO Line are baseless.

The victim said that she wants to marry the constable. That is why she called him before giving her statement. It is alleged that constable Pushpendra gave her a packet outside Makhanpur police station and told her to eat it and die. He will be released from jail in two months. The girl alleges that CO Line had said that take 10 lakh rupees and settle the matter. He will get his constable out of jail in 24 hours.
Ward boys not found in trauma center
In the afternoon, the policemen took the victim to the trauma center but there was no ward boy there. When the stretcher was not available, two policemen took her inside by holding her hands and legs. In this regard, CMS Dr. Naveen Jain has denied having any knowledge of the case.
