Atiq Ahmed: In Prayagraj, an FIR has been lodged in Puramufti police station against five people including Mafia Atiq Ahmed's brother Ashraf's father-in-law Mansoor Ahmed, brother-in-law Arshad and Faiz. They have been accused of forcibly collecting rent for the house and shop built on the land of the Waqf Board and when an attempt was made to oppose it, they threatened to kill.
This complaint has been filed by Mabud Ahmed, resident of Puramufti and caretaker of the Waqf property. In the complaint, Mabud Ahmed, resident of Puramufti, has stated that he has been appointed caretaker by Mutawalli Ammad Hasan of the Waqf Board. Mabud Ahmed looks after property number 67 of the Waqf Board. All this property is located in Sallahpur of Puramufti police station area.
Allegations against Atiq's relatives
It is alleged that the house and shop built on the Waqf land have been forcefully occupied by Atiq's relatives. These allegations have been made against Guddu, Maqsood resident Hatwa as well as Ashraf's father-in-law Mansoor Ahmed and brother-in-law Arshad and Faiz. The complainant says that these people are illegally renting out the shops of this property and collecting rent for it.
The accused mafia is a relative of Atiq's brother Ashraf. He said in his complaint that these people have been forcibly collecting rent since October 2023. According to the victim caretaker, when he goes to collect rent from the shopkeepers, he is threatened with death. The accused say that they will collect the rent.
On the orders of DCP City Deepak Bhukar, Puramufti police station has registered a case in this matter. After registering the case, the police is searching for the named accused. Mabud Ahmed had earlier lodged an FIR against Ashraf's brother-in-law Saddam and Zaid, former Mutawalli, his wife and Ashraf's wife Zainab Fatima. The FIR was lodged on the charge of occupying the Waqf property worth 50 crores.
