The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has approved the purchase of defence equipment worth ₹54,000 crore, which will further strengthen the capabilities of the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy. The purchase of 1350 HP engines and Varunastra torpedoes has also been approved. The effect of this decision will be visible on the shares when the market opens on Friday morning, 21 March 2025.
