Sultanur Encounter: Amidst the questions being raised about the encounter of Mangesh Yadav, accused of robbery at Bharat Jeweller's shop in Sultanpur, top UP police officials held a press conference and gave answers. During this, DGP Prashant Kumar and ADG Amitabh Yash were also present. Responding to all the allegations, the DGP said that the entire police action is fair and evidence-based. 

ADG Law Amitabh Yash said that on August 28, Vipin Singh's gang had looted crores. The accused had first done recce of that area. He said that first 2 motorcycles were stolen from Jaunpur in which Mangesh Yadav had a role. After the arrest of the accused, 2.633 kg gold, 15.26 grams silver and Rs 45700 cash have been recovered. 

Every detail of Sultanpur robbery incident revealed

The ADG said that the gang leader who carried out this incident was Vipin Singh. Vipin Singh was involved in big robberies in Lucknow and Gujarat. On 13 and 15 August, Vipin, Furkan and their three companions had done recce of Bharat Jeweller shop. We have video and evidence regarding this. He showed some pictures of CCTV footage in the market and claimed that the accused Vipin Singh and Furkan were in them and said that in this incident the motorcycle was stolen from Jaunpur and Mangesh Yadav had stolen the bike. The accused had used a Bolero car to escape. 

ADG Amit Yash said that the criminals had come in two groups to carry out this incident. Pushpendra, W and Sachin had come in a Bolero. They were directly involved in the robbery. Furkan, Anuj, Arbaaz, Mangesh Yadav and Ankit Yadav entered the shop and carried out the incident. Apart from this, Vipin Singh, Vinay Shukla, Arvind Vivek and Durgesh had laid siege around the shop.

Police said that these people were outside so that in case of any problem they could fire and save them from police. They could fire on police so that everyone could be chased away. All this has been done in CCTV footage and technical analysis. All these things have become clear in the interrogation of the criminals who were arrested. In this, police and STF worked together and revealed the incident.
