News Topical, Digital Desk : Within three days of its premiere, Ashwin Kumar's Mahavatar Narsimha became the highest-grossing Indian animated film of all time. With this, the film has set a new record in the Indian film industry.

According to box office tracking website Sakanilk, the mythological animation film has now become the most successful animated film in Indian history, surpassing the 2005 hit film Hanuman.

 

How much was the collection of the film?

The film had a great start and earned around Rs 1.75 crore on its first Friday. After this, word of mouth worked and the film kept adding new numbers to its collection. On the second day, its collection was Rs 4.6 crore and on the third day, the film did wonders. On Sunday, the collection reached Rs 9.5 crore. According to Sacnilk, the collection of the sixth day has also come out. The film has collected Rs 4.48 crore, which is not bad in front of the collection of a blockbuster film like Saiyyara. Before this, movies of many big actors came but did not work. With this, the collection of the film has reached Rs 34.03 crore.

 

The Hindi version earned the most

This pan India film released in 2D and 3D in five languages including Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. The Hindi version of the film played a key role in this success, contributing a significant amount of Rs 15.55 crore to the total box office figures. The Telugu version also maintained its hold with earnings of around Rs 5.57 crore. The Tamil and Malayalam dubs also brought in additional earnings.

Mahavatar Narasimha, releasing on 25th July 2025, tells the story of Prahlad Maharaj whose unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu leads him to take on the fierce avatar of Narasimha, a story that has been brought alive on screen with dazzling visuals and cinematic depth.
