On Thursday, US Congressman Mark Warner told the Washington Post that Chinese hackers are trying to target American telecommunications companies.

He had said that this was the biggest attack in history. According to the information, Chinese hackers had tried to steal the data of telecom companies by running the 'Salt Typhoon' campaign. The FBI had also said that Chinese hackers had tried to attack even before the elections. They had also tried to hack the phones of Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

China has been rejecting the allegations of America. There has been no response from the Chinese Embassy in the US so far regarding the recent allegations. American technology giant Microsoft had accused the Midnight Blizzard hacker group, allegedly linked to the Russian intelligence agency, of intensifying spear-phishing campaigns against officials here.

The company had said, "Since October 22, 2024, Microsoft Threat Intelligence has observed the Russian threat actor Midnight Blizzard Group sending highly targeted spear-phishing emails to individuals in government, education, defense, non-governmental organizations, and other sectors." According to the statement, these emails were sent to thousands of users of 100 organizations. Microsoft reminded that earlier, US and UK officials had said that Midnight Blizzard is allegedly linked to Russian intelligence agencies.
