News Topical, Digital Desk : The US and China clashed on Friday over the Ukraine issue at the United Nations. The US asked China to stop provoking Russia's aggression in Ukraine, while China said that Washington is trying to provoke confrontation by blaming others.

America reprimanded China

Acting US Ambassador to the United Nations Dorothy Shea urged all countries to stop exporting dual-use items to Russia, which Washington says are helping Russia in its war effort.

Dual-use items refer to items that can be used in war as well as civilian use. Xia made this request, specifically naming China.

Russia is using Chinese made equipment in the war

The seizure of Chinese-made equipment in drones, weapons and vehicles used by Russia against Ukraine "destroys Beijing's claim to impose export controls on dual-use goods," Shea said at a meeting of the 15-member UN Security Council on Ukraine.

Beijing hits back at America

China's deputy UN ambassador Geng Shuang hit back, saying China did not start the war in Ukraine. It is not a party to the conflict, it has never provided lethal weapons. It has always strictly controlled dual-use materials, including the export of drones.

America should stop blaming others for Ukraine issue

He said, we urge the US to stop blaming or creating confrontation on the Ukraine issue and instead play a more constructive role in promoting ceasefire and peace talks.
