Gorakhpur News: In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that the Uttar Pradesh which was considered a sick state and a barrier in the country's development before 2017, the same state has emerged as a leading state in every field in the country in its eight-year development journey. Before 2017, Uttar Pradesh was considered a lagging state of the country, whereas after 2017, this state is either number one or leading in more than 45 schemes of the central government. CM Yogi was addressing the public meeting on Tuesday after inaugurating the three-day (25 to 27 March) 'Utkarsh ke Aath Varsh' Vikas Utsav organized on the occasion of completion of eight years of the state government led by him.
The CM said that even today the state is the same, the system is also the same. But, when the power changed in 2017, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as soon as the double engine government came, all the barriers to development in this state ended. Earlier in UP, the farmer, who provides food, was forced to commit suicide, the youth had an identity crisis, the poor were in the grip of starvation, there was a crisis on the safety of daughters and traders. Whereas today, due to the schemes of the double engine government, the farmer is self-reliant, women are empowered, the youth are getting employment, the poor have become prosperous. Along with development, the security system of UP has become an example in the country.
The journey of change in UP was not easy - CM
CM said that this journey of change in UP was not easy. The situation then was very difficult. Earlier there used to be riots in the state, every district was ruled by a mafia, there were situations like land grabbing, illegal mining, animal smuggling, threat to daughters and businessmen. The government that came in 2017 ended the mafia. Today the government has worked to make the state a leader in every field by implementing huge schemes like poverty alleviation, employment etc.
Yogi Adityanath said that UP, which was earlier a sick state of the country, has today become the growth engine of the country. UP, which was earlier considered a barrier to the country's development, has today become a breakthrough in development. The state has achieved this feat on the strength of its youth power, labour power and hard work of farmers. This has contributed in making the state the number two economy in the country.
