Bareilly.  The houses of those accused of attacking Hindus due to enmity over stopping the new tradition during Muharram procession will be demolished. The Revenue Department team which reached Gausganj village on Sunday for investigation found that 11 houses were built by encroaching on the road. The team returned after marking till late evening and will survey the remaining area today.

Officials say that on the basis of the investigation report, bulldozers (backhoe loaders) will be used to remove encroachments. Apart from this, other riot accused Alamgir and Nizakat Ali were arrested in an encounter. In this, Alamgir was shot in the leg, a constable was hit by shrapnel. The police have arrested 35 accused so far.

NSA will be imposed on the accused

SP (South) Manush Pareek says that NSA will be imposed on the accused. The process of property confiscation has also been started. On July 17, drums were played in front of the temple during the Muharram procession in Gausganj village. When the Hindu side protested calling it a new tradition, the organizers took it as a grudge. On Friday night, the mob attacked Hindu families. Women were molested, vandalism was done, stones were pelted. The victim side filed an FIR against 50 named and 15 unidentified persons. Even after Dial 112 reached, the accused continued to attack, so a second FIR was filed by the police.

They were sent to jail

On Saturday, 33 accused including Afsar Ali, Imran, Mukhtiyar Ali, Abdul Salam were sent to jail. The force is deployed as the atmosphere in the village is tense. On Sunday, the revenue department team reached on the instructions of SDM Tripti Gupta, even at that time the PAC was with them.
