Hollywood star Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds have requested the dismissal of Justin Baldoni's defamation suit. According to a report in Variety, lawyers from both sides will face off in court on Monday for the first hearing of the high-profile dispute between the It Ends With Us stars.

Lively wants to withdraw the case

Per Judge Lewis Liman's order, the couple's legal team on Thursday submitted a notice of motion detailing how the federal case will proceed. The judge requested a brief letter explaining why Lively and Reynolds want to end it.

Baldoni accused his co-star

Let us tell you that Blake Lively had filed a case against the director of 'It Ends With Us' and her co-actor Baldoni accusing him of sexual harassment. The actress said that Baldoni tried to run a campaign against her which would defame her. Due to this, the actress had to face many problems.

In addition, Blake Lively accused Baldoni of "social manipulation" and trying to damage her image by spreading slander.

The decision will be taken after the approval of both the parties

The judge has indicated that he will hold the trial of the case in March 2026. He has asked both the parties to submit a plan to ensure the hearing by that time. At the same time, both the parties also seem to agree to this as no objection has been shown from their side to the proceedings.

Given the heightened tension, a pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 3 to address legal conduct and media exposure. In a letter to the court, Lively and Reynolds' lawyers previously accused Baldoni's camp of making inflammatory statements to the press and influencing the public.
