Festival Season 2024: The team of Food Safety Department has taken major action by raiding in Baghpat. The team of the Fertilizer Department has recovered a large consignment of fake mawa from Mahindra Bolero pickup during the raid. Fake mawa was being sent to Delhi to be consumed on Diwali. The Food Department has seized 30 quintals of fake mawa during the raid. After which the team of the Food Department has dug a pit with a bulldozer and destroyed the seized 30 quintals of mawa.
The Food Department has raided Ratol town of Khekra police station area. Food officer Manvendra Singh has given information about the raid. The team of Food Safety Department has launched a campaign against adulterated khoya on Diwali festival today. To sell the consignment of mawa in Delhi, Zuber Khan, resident of village Kalchina Ghaziabad, had recently started the work of making khoya by printing it in Ratol town. When Khekra police came to know about this, they informed the Food Department.
Adulterated khoya was filled
After this, adulterated khoya was being filled in Mahindra Bolero pickup on the spot. During inspection, khoya stored in unhygienic condition was examined, which prima facie was found to be foul smelling and harmful for human health. Sample was collected for examination of khoya and sent to the laboratory. Nearly 30 quintals of khoya found on the spot was immediately destroyed by digging a pit near Baragaon Police Chowki.
Let us tell you that during the festive season, people are caught black marketing sweets and using khoya in addition to bad mawa. Such cases have come to light in many places in the last few days. However, action is being taken in such cases by the administration. CM Yogi Adityanath has directed to take strict action in these cases.
