The US is sending its second aircraft carrier USS Harry S Truman to West Asia following renewed Israeli attacks in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.
While the US aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson is already deployed with its destroyers in the Red Sea near Yemen. Meanwhile, the US military once again carried out air strikes on Yemen occupied by Houthi rebels on Sunday.
Hodeida airport targeted
This time the airport of Hodeida city was targeted and three attacks were carried out there at short intervals. American planes also bombed the cities of Sahar and Kitaf. Similarly, attacks were also carried out on the city of Mazar in Marib province.
Saudi Arabia's state television channels Al Arabiya and Al Hadat have reported that Houthi naval commander Mansoor al-Saadi has been killed in the US attack. The US has said that Houthi bases have been targeted in the attacks.
Houthi missile attack on Israel
- On Sunday itself, Houthi rebels launched a ballistic missile attack on Israel from Yemen. The Houthis have said that the damage caused by the missile fired targeting Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport is not known.
- But due to this, Israel's air traffic remained halted for more than half an hour. Whereas Israel has said that it destroyed the missile coming from Yemen in the sky itself.
