25 rounds of firing in Delhi's Rohini area, criminals flee from the spot, captured on CCTV.

News Topical, Digital Desk : A shooting incident occurred on Friday (January 2) in Sector 24, Begumpur, Rohini, Delhi. According to the Delhi Police, 25 rounds of bullets were fired. Three bike-borne assailants opened fire and fled the scene. No one was injured in the incident. Empty cartridges were found on the road. Bullet marks were found on the front windshield of the blue Toyota Innova. Police received a PCR call at 5:23 pm on January 2. 

Threats had been received earlier

The victim is involved in the property business and had previously received threatening calls. Extortion calls were made from an international number posing as gangsters. Death threats were made through WhatsApp calls and voice messages. Delhi Police have registered a case under sections of extortion and assault. Delhi Police is also investigating CCTV footage showing two suspects leaving.

The businessman did not inform the police about the threat.

Police said that upon receiving information about the shooting, a local team arrived at the scene. They explained that a local businessman had previously received threats, which he had not shared with the police. The shooting was aimed at him and intended to intimidate him. 

Which gang's name is coming up?

When asked which gang is being named as being behind this, the police said, "They are mentioning the name of a big gangster; it would be inappropriate to reveal that name at this time." According to the police, at the scene, the businessman stated that between December 26 and December 29, 2025, he received several WhatsApp calls and voice messages from an unknown international number. The caller identified himself as a big gangster and demanded a large sum of money as extortion, and also threatened him. 

There was indiscriminate firing in Aya Nagar, Delhi.

In November of last year, a shooting incident occurred in Aya Nagar, Delhi. According to reports, on November 30th, miscreants fired 72 rounds in the area, killing dairy owner Ratan Lohiya. 69 bullet wounds were found on the deceased's body.
