News Topical, Digital Desk : A major case of "ghar wapsi" (homecoming) has emerged in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP) and the Rashtriya Bajrang Dal (RBD) jointly purified 15 Muslim men and women and reconverted them to Hinduism. The incident took place at a Shiva temple in the Khamaria police station area of the city.

All these Muslim men and women converted to Hinduism of their own free will. The religious organization Bajrang Dal had expressed its opposition to these families a day before the incident. Now, several Hindu organizations have joined forces to convert these families from Islam to Hinduism. This entire process was completed with Hindu rituals.

Hindu organizations arranged for homecoming

According to reports, officials from the International Hindu Council, the Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, and the Mahila Parishad gathered at the Shiva Temple on Wednesday. They performed the "homecoming" ceremony for these 15 individuals. This process involved purification through worship, seating, and the consumption of cow urine.

All of these people belong to the Banjara community, also known as "Dera Wala" across the state. These people live and make a living by setting up camps in rural and urban areas.

Bajrang Dal had lodged protest a day earlier

This "homecoming" occurred a day after Bajrang Dal activists protested against these families. They also submitted a memorandum to the Barela police station.

Following protests, on Wednesday (November 26), officials from the International Hindu Council and the Rashtriya Bajrang Dal intervened and performed the "ghar wapsi" (homecoming) and purification rituals for these families. The organization officials claimed that all of them had voluntarily returned to Hinduism.
