News Topical, Digital Desk : The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step towards providing better connectivity to the Noida International Airport in Jewar . Additional funds of ₹300 crore have been released to accelerate the ambitious greenfield expressway project connecting the airport to the Ganga Expressway. This amount is primarily intended to expedite the land acquisition process, which is expected to accelerate the initial phase of the project.

According to information, the total estimated cost of this Greenfield Expressway is approximately ₹1,734 crore. ₹1,037 crore has already been released for this project, and now an additional ₹300 crore has been allocated. This expressway will connect Jewar Airport to the Bulandshahr link of the Ganga Expressway, significantly improving regional connectivity.

Where will the money be used?

The government has clarified that the funds released will only be used for approved projects, especially land acquisition. Instructions have also been issued to ensure strict adherence to financial regulations. The relevant officials will be held accountable for any irregularities or delays in the project.

The completion of the project will reduce travel time.

It is worth noting that after completion, this project will significantly reduce travel time between Delhi-NCR, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Purvanchal. Furthermore, the region will develop as a logistics hub, boosting industrial investment. Land prices in Bulandshahr, Aligarh, and surrounding districts are also expected to increase.

Instructions for timely completion of the project

The government has also directed that the project be completed in a timely manner to avoid unnecessary cost and time overruns. It will also ensure that funds for this project are not previously sanctioned under any other scheme, thus avoiding duplication.
