On Tuesday, Israel attacked a humanitarian zone in the south of the Palestinian territory. The Israeli army says it has targeted the Hamas command center in this area.

The Israeli army carried out this attack in the Al-Mawasi area of ​​Khan Younis city in Gaza. This is the area which the Israeli army had declared a safe zone when the war started. Thousands of Palestinians have taken refuge here.

Attacked with four missiles

Locals and doctors said four missiles hit a tent camp in al-Mawasi, near Khan Younis, which is full of displaced Palestinians. According to the Gaza Civil Emergency Service, 20 tents caught fire. The Israeli missiles created craters up to nine meters (30 feet) deep. The 65 injured included women and children.

Israel said – terrorists were targeted

The Israeli military said it attacked Hamas militants operating inside a command and control center located inside the humanitarian zone in Khan Younis. Hamas denied Israel's allegations.
