Dubai: Two more attacks were carried out targeting a ship in the Gulf of Aden late Friday evening. Two deadly missiles were fired at the ship simultaneously, which fell in the nearby water area. This has caused a lot of damage to the ship. After the attack, black smoke started rising from the ship. It is being told that the ship had oil tankers, so there is a danger of oil spillage in the sea. Authorities have expressed the possibility of Yemen's Houthis being behind this attack. Houthi rebels had earlier entered a Greek-flagged oil tanker and placed explosives in it, which later led to several explosions in it.

The explosion in the tanker has raised the risk of a massive oil spill in the Red Sea. Attacks targeting the ship by Houthi rebels in the recent past have disrupted the supply of goods worth one thousand billion US dollars, which is sent to the Gaza Strip through the Red Sea every year in the wake of the Israel-Hamas war. The British Army's 'United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations' (UKMTO) center said that during the attack on Friday, two missiles fell near the ship about 240 kilometers east of Aden.

All crew members are safe after the attack

UKMTO said the ship reported that all crew members were safe. The matter is being investigated. Houthi rebels have not yet claimed responsibility for the attack. They have attacked more than 80 ships with missiles and drones since the war in Gaza began in October. Houthi rebels also hijacked a ship and attacked and sank two ships, killing four sailors. Meanwhile, the US military's Central Command said on Saturday that it destroyed two drones in Houthi-controlled territory in Yemen.
