Footage released by local media shows an officer checking his rifle while two others pin an accused man to the ground. Witnesses said they heard a loud bang before the cafeteria was locked down, Sydney radio station 2GB reported.

Australian Federal Police said that investigation into the incident has been started. The spot has also been identified. There were no casualties in this firing incident. All the people present at the spot are safe. After a brief panic, the situation at the airport is now normal.
